COBAGRiP® GRP Industrial Stepover (GRP06000)

COBAGRiP® GRP Industrial Stepover
The COBAGRiP® Stepover provides a safe and practical way for pedestrians to cross pipes, cables, trunking and other low-level obstacles that run across workplace access routes.
Designed for industrial and commercial environments, the free-standing stepover creates a defined crossing point without requiring permanent alterations to the floor or surrounding infrastructure.
Manufactured from corrosion-resistant glass reinforced plastic (GRP), it combines a lightweight structure with a durable quartz crystal grit surface for enhanced slip resistance in demanding working environments.
Help Prevent Trips at the Source
Pipework, cables, ducting and service runs crossing pedestrian routes can create significant trip hazards. The COBAGRiP® Stepover provides a clearly defined route over these obstacles, helping pedestrians move safely through the area without stepping directly over exposed services.
This makes it particularly useful in factories, plant rooms, utilities areas and maintenance environments where rerouting existing pipework or altering the floor may be impractical.
Slip-Resistant Quartz Grit Surface
The walking surface incorporates an aggressive quartz crystal grit finish designed to provide excellent underfoot grip.
This makes the stepover particularly suitable for industrial areas where floors may become wet, dirty or contaminated during normal operations.
The surface has been slip tested to EN 16165:2021 Annex B, providing independently tested slip-resistance performance for workplace applications.
Corrosion-Resistant GRP Construction
COBAGRiP® Stepover units are manufactured from glass reinforced plastic rather than conventional steel.
GRP provides excellent resistance to corrosion and weathering, making the stepover suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. It is particularly useful in areas where moisture, chemicals or changing environmental conditions could cause conventional metal access equipment to deteriorate.
High-Visibility Yellow Step Edges
High-visibility yellow edges clearly identify the changes in level and help draw attention to the stepover within busy operational environments.
The contrasting grey and yellow finish provides a clear visual indication of the crossing point, helping users identify the steps and surrounding hazard more easily.
Free-Standing with No Floor Fixings Required
The COBAGRiP® Stepover is free standing and does not require permanent fixing to the floor for standard use.
This enables rapid deployment without drilling into existing flooring or creating installation downtime. It also means the unit can be repositioned if production layouts, pipework or pedestrian routes change.
184kg Uniformly Distributed Load Capacity
The stepover has a uniformly distributed load capacity of 184kg, providing robust pedestrian access for industrial and commercial workplaces.
Its combination of strength and relatively low product weight makes it durable enough for everyday workplace use while remaining manageable when repositioning is required.
Choice of Three Stepover Heights
The COBAGRiP® Stepover is available in three heights, allowing the most appropriate model to be selected according to the obstacle being crossed.
All three versions measure 464mm wide x 995mm long, with overall heights of 132mm, 182mm or 233mm.

Suitable for Pipes, Cables and Trunking
The stepover is designed for areas where services cross an established pedestrian route and cannot easily be relocated.
Typical obstacles include pipework, electrical cables, cable containment, trunking, hoses and other low-level services within production and maintenance environments.
Create Longer Access Routes
Multiple COBAGRiP® Stepover units can be positioned together where a wider obstacle or extended service area needs to be crossed.
The system can also be cut to specification where a tailored access solution is required, making it suitable for more complex industrial layouts.

Indoor and Outdoor Industrial Access
The weather-resistant GRP construction allows COBAGRiP® Stepover units to be used across a wide variety of indoor and outdoor industrial environments.
The material does not rely on a painted or galvanised metal surface for corrosion protection, making GRP particularly useful around wet processes, external plant and other demanding locations.
A Flexible Alternative to Permanent Floor Alterations
Where existing pipework, cables or services cannot be moved, installing a dedicated crossing point can provide a more practical solution than permanently modifying the surrounding floor.
The free-standing COBAGRiP® design can be deployed quickly and moved as operational requirements change, providing a flexible solution for evolving industrial workplaces.
Choose the Correct Stepover Height
Select the appropriate model according to the height and dimensions of the obstacle that needs to be crossed. Always allow sufficient clearance between the underlying pipework, cables or services and the stepover structure.
If you require a non-standard configuration, multiple units can be combined or a bespoke COBAGRiP® solution can be produced to suit specific site requirements.
