Robust Security Gate with Enhanced Safety

Engineered for commercial and industrial sites, the Autopa Swing Gate ensures controlled access with proven durability. Ideal for locations requiring occasional vehicle passage without permanent automation.

It boasts several built-in safety features—a self-latching catch post, short leading edge beam, and low bottom edge—to prevent unintended swinging and reduce risk of impact. For enhanced security, a second catch post enables locking in both open and closed positions (padlock not included). Installation options include bolt-down or concrete-in mounting to meet site requirements.

Color finish is galvanised base with a standard red powder coat, customizable to any BS/RAL colour profile upon request. Fully British manufactured and backed by a 12-month guarantee.

What entrance widths are available for the AUTOPA swing gate?

The Premier listing covers 3 m to 7 m widths. Measure the clear opening and allow for the gate posts and swing path.

How much space does the gate need when opened?

A swing gate needs a clear swept area for the leaf. Check that it will not obstruct pedestrians, parked vehicles or adjacent equipment in the open position.

When should I choose a swing gate instead of an arm barrier?

A swing gate provides a full-width rigid gate leaf, while an arm barrier uses a boom. The best choice depends on the access width, required visual/physical closure and available opening space.

Can I assume the gate is powered?

No. Do not assume powered operation unless the selected configuration states it. Check the operating and locking method for the exact Premier/AUTOPA gate before ordering.

What entrance widths does the Swing Gate cover?

The AUTOPA range is offered in 3m, 4m, 5m, 6m and 7m gate sizes.

Can the gate be locked in both the open and closed positions?

Yes, but locking in both positions uses catch posts and padlocks; the additional catch post and padlock are available separately.

What safety features are built into the gate?

AUTOPA lists a self-latching catch post, short leading-edge beam and low bottom edge to reduce the chance of uncontrolled opening and help reduce injury risk.

Is the gate available bolt-down and concrete-in?

Yes. AUTOPA offers flanged and ragged versions. The chosen foundation needs to suit the gate size and fixing method.

How much space is needed for the gate to open?

Allow the full gate-leaf swing arc and keep that area clear of parked vehicles, pedestrians, signs and other street furniture. The nominal gate width alone is not the total space needed.

Can the gate colour be changed?

Yes. AUTOPA supplies the system colour coated and offers alternative RAL colours on request.

What should I confirm before ordering?

Confirm the clear entrance width, preferred swing direction, fixing method, available swing arc, locking requirement and whether a second catch post is needed for the open position.
