Tara Gough, sales manager at Premier Storage

She joined Premier Storage early in 2015, initially working in the sales administration office, but quickly progressed into her role as sales manager, which she has now held for over a year.

Tara’s role, however, involves a lot more than just sales. Of course she looks after her clients’ accounts – and they include some industry giants such as furniture retailer DFS and online plumbing specialists Victoria Plumb.com – but she is also extremely hands on! Dealing mainly with pallet racking, office partitioning and mezzanine floor contracts, Tara carries out her own site visits and creates the job specification, CAD drawings and quotes from the surveys she carries out herself.

Tara takes real pride in her work and the accuracy it demands and she gets a ‘buzz’ from making sure every job she does is perfect. “Even a millimetre error in measurement can put the whole job out” she says. “I really enjoy every aspect of the job, but, like any sales person, closing a great deal and then delivering on every aspect of it to the client’s satisfaction, has to be the most exciting bit!”

Tara’s client, DFS, says: “I find Tara to be most helpful and polite. Using her knowledge, she has continued to deliver DFS with 100% effort/time on each of the site projects we issue, giving us the confidence to place our orders in the knowledge that she can meet the tight delivery time slots. Keep up the good work!”

When not a work, Tara’s main passion is animals – rather like many of the Premier Storage team! Tara has been riding since she could walk and currently has a 23-year old warmblood horse called Baron – and at 17.3HH he’s quite a gentle giant. She is also raising her 1 year old Belgian shepherd dog called Rio. She’s clearly got her hands full with those 2!

Tara likes to keep fit too – and do what she can to help Dementia UK (a charity close to her heart as she lost her grandmother to the illness this year. She is currently getting into shape to do the Santa Dash in Doncaster in December this year and will take part in the Sheffield half marathon in April next year – both in aid of the charity.
